MGARK, MICHELE GAMBATO ARCHITETTO

Michele Gambato studied at the University of Architecture IUAV in Venice, Italy with an additional year spent at the Bartlett School of Architecture, U.C.L. London. After graduation, he moved to Paris, where he worked on large architectural projects with the following architectural firms: Arch. Aymeric Zublena, Arch. Stanislaw Fiszer, Architecture Studio, Arch. Santiago Calatrava and Arch. Paul Andreu of ADP. In 2002 he returned to Italy and worked with: studio Dainese and Gris, arch. Toti Semerano, arch. Michele de Lucchi and studio PLT. In 2004 he opened his own architectural office, called MGARK, in Padua, Italy. His work includes architectural design, restoration, project management, construction super-vision, interior and furniture design. In 2007-2008 he was visiting professor at IED - Istituto Europeo del Design in Venice in the Master Course of Cultural and Strategic Planning. In 2010 he worked as a site manager for a new Marriott hotel in Tlemcen, Algeria, on behalf of Permasteelisa&Pooleng, Italy and CSCEC, China. In 2011 he designed and built a luxury countryside Hotel with a wellness centre in Pergola, Pesaro-Urbino, Italy. Since 2011 he has been on the editorial board of the Architectural News magazine in Padua, Italy. In 2012 one of his projects was awarded the 4th prize in Cembrit Design Competition in Helsinki, Finland. In 2013 his Single Family House. in Limena, Padua, Italy was selected for the 6° edition of the Barbara Cappochin International Prize for the best project. In 2014 he designed a SPA and health centre for the Clinic-Medok in Kiev, Ukraine. In 2013-14 he was visiting professor at the Faculty of Architecture at the Selcuk Yasar University in Izmir, Turkey.
