“M A R K arhitekti” is a Latvian architectural practice located in Riga, Latvia. Founded in 2006 by Aleksejs Birjukovs, Janis Sauka and Martins Osans - each with outstanding professional records and experience from previous projects and assignments - „M A R K arhitekti” is a relatively new, yet a dynamically growing company.
Today, the company employs 12 architects. Usually, „M A R K arhitekti” is setting up a professional team providing full service package – architectural and technical parts, project management and supervision during the building phase. The company’s portfolio includes cosy single-family houses, urban apartment blocks as well as large cultural and official establishments for private individuals, companies and government agencies. Amongst the recent professional achievements, “M A R K arhitekti” is proud to have been chosen as the winner in several significant regional architectural competition with a further contract for a Court House in Riga, (Jan, 2009), Marine Museum in Liepaja, (June, 2009) and Swimming pool sport center in Limbazhi (August, 2009). The company boosts a number of other competition prizes during it’s 7 years of operation. Current objects include reconstruction of a UNESCO heritage ware-house complex in Riga to host Center for Modern Culture and Creative Industries.
Most importantly, the company’s philosophy encourages open-mindedness and team-work to deliver the highest value possible to the customer. At the starting phase, each project is approached as a completely new phenomenon with certain, customer-stated requirements, thus inviting „M A R K” to develop a unique project concept. Later of, the concept is brought to realization with the full power of the company’s proven competences and professional abilities.
