For almost 100 years, KC has united spatial and urban planning and design, architecture and landscape development. Initially, KC built its reputation upon developing integrated solutions for the complex challenges within the Netherlands. Today, KC applies this expertise to award-winning designs all over the world. Designs that are obviously adapted to local living and working conditions, and always respond to current needs.
Substantial experience in developing clear visions for the future is fundamental to the KC approach. In this way, KC helps to create a sustainable world: we design the future.
KC’s headquarters are housed in the Schie-building of the monumental Van Nelle Design Factory in Rotterdam. A base where more than 100 professionals work at projects in several continents, always in multidisciplinary teams. In this way, KC conducts complete processes: from consulting and design to implementation and realisation.
Rob Kanbier, Charles Lamers, Martijn Niehof, Dirk van Rijdt, Mark Schaeffer and Wouter Vos lead the departments and design studios. Together they form the management council, supervised by directors Gijs van den Boomen and Willem WIjnbergen. Former directors Ashok Bhalotra and Huub Niessen are still actively involved in several KC projects.
