KSK Architects Planners Historians, Inc., founded in 1966, has a staff of approximately 15 planners, urban designers, architects, architectural historians, architectural conservators, and technical support personnel located in Center City Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. KSK’s architecture practice focuses on historic preservation, cultural facilities, educational facilities, religious buildings and sites, affordable housing, and streetscape design. Recent affordable housing developments include Spring Garden Revitalization, renovation of historic townhouse buildings to create 58 affordable apartments, 45-unit Warnock Senior Housing, a 3-story elevator-accessed mixed-use building, Lawrence Court homeownership development, and Mantua Revitalization, a 101-unit mixed-use development in the Mantua neighborhood of Philadelphia. Recent preservation projects range from small-scale restoration projects, such as work with Holy Trinity Romanian Orthodox Church to the recently completed multi-million-dollar restoration and adaptive use of Memorial Hall in Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park as the new Please Touch Museum, which was awarded the Grand Jury prize by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
