Our architecture considers all sides: we are looking for architectural wealth. This search starts with the other, the client, his questions, his budget, his surroundings, near or far. Listening, analysis and interpretation of these data are the starting point for the design. The work is a response to this multiplicity of questions. As a reflection of this colorful reality, the buildings we design are polymorphic and vivid. The story of architectural wealth is written in our own handwriting. The three-dimensional nature of architecture, city and landscape is pivotal: in order to create valuable surroundings, we think it is necessary, that the surrounding space is in the same time uplifting, supportive, comfortable and cozy –– both outside and inside. We think it is important that a building has a long life span. Buildings must be operative at least fifty years, cities even longer. Appropriate distance to the issues of the day is therefore appropriate. This predilection of timelessness, for primitive types and characteristics of the context are forged to new interpretations in our work. Our attitude is one of concentration and precision. This provides a subtlety in our buildings, which also focuses on the long term. Sustainability in our work is the result of an integrated approach, where space, material, (use of) energy, water and mobility have equal attention. Inspired by everything around us, our goal is to achieve a stable architecture that radiates and feeds and preferably gives more space than it occupies.
