Kenneth Nilson informs his functional sculptures with a love of pattern and geometry. The result is lighting that activates a room.
Trained as a graphic designer, he earned a BFA in 1992. Once he reached Brooklyn, he turned his back on graphic design and never looked back. He took with him an understanding of pattern and geometry that contiues to inform his work. Making the simple pendant into a functional sculpture that activates a room. A focal point that provides a backdrop of pattern throughout a room.
Since beginning furniture design in 2001, Kenneth’s work has appeared in the pages of Interior Design Magazine, Architectural Digest, Hamptons Cottages and Gardens, Metropolitan Home, Traditional Home and Time Out New York.
His work is represented by the premiere showrooms in New York and Atlanta.
