Kempster Jamrozik Studio

Coryn Kempster and Julia Jamrozik have been collaborating together since 2003. Both completed Honours Bachelor of Arts degrees with distinction at the University of Toronto. Julia went on to live and work in Japan for two years before returning to Canada to complete a Masters of Architecture at the University of British Columbia (UBC) where she was awarded the RAIC Medal. Coryn attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a Presidential Fellow, where he earned his Masters in Architecture with a concentration in Visual Arts. Coryn was an Architect at Herzog & de Meuron from 2008 to 2010. He left to join Harry Gugger Studio where he is currently a Project Director. Julia was an Architect at HdeM from 2008 to 2012 and is now in her second year of teaching architectural design studios at the ETH in Zurich. Between them, Coryn and Julia have won numerous competitions and have exhibited and published in Canada, the U.S., Germany, France, Italy and South Korea, including solo shows at Vtape and Convenience Gallery in Toronto. Coryn has been an Assistant to Lisa Steele, Joan Jonas and Krzysztof Wodiczko among other artists. They currently divide their time between Toronto, Canada and Basel, Switzerland.
