Flint was created in 1995 by Christophe Gautié and Véronique Tastet. In 1998, Flint won the competition for the re-use of the “warehouse 14” on the quays of the port of Bordeaux. This project received the “prix de la première œuvre » (national award for a first work). This first large scale realization will allow Flint to be short listed on numerous competitions. Flint works both for public or private projects, and is involved in competitions in different fields, cultural, educational, housing, offices. The confrontation of the approach of conception to various scales is a constant necessity, the amplitude varies between town planning schemes (Bruges, 470 000m2) and the drawing for the furniture of small restaurants (Arcachon, 45m 2). The last accomplished equipments are the offices for the presidency of the University of Créteil, a building for elderly and student housing in the 13th district of Paris, 40 collective housing in Montpellier, the Saint-Exupéry middle school and the “Casa de Velázquez” (both french schools), in Madrid. Soon will be completed the Library and the town hall offices of La Courneuve.
