Fabrica 718

FABRICA 718, located in Brooklyn, New York, was founded in 2006. Their multi-disciplinary approach to design incorporates spatial and product design in addition to sustainability and places a strong emphasis on collaboration. They have a modern aesthetic that integrates clean design and thoughtful spaces with playfulness and the unexpected. They believe that an important aspect of design is integrating energy-efficient building systems and safe, non-toxic building materials. Awards include: a winner in the Total Housing 01: Apartments sponsored by Storefront, Actar and Architizer, a 2010 Merit Award from NY Chapter of ASLA and a 2006 NYC Green Bldg Award. Their work has been featured in the New York Times, New York Magazine, Topos, and Wired magazines as well as design blogs. They have received several grants including the Kalil Fellowship for Smart Design and the AIA Stewardson Keefe Lebrun Travel Grant. They are Passive House Training and LEED certified.
