Cobaleda & Garcia Arquitectos

The office is led by Luciano Cobaleda Hernández and Raúl García García, architects graduated from the School of Architecture of Madrid, who decided to found Cobaleda & García Architects in 2002 after working with prestigious studios in Madrid. Both are studying in ETSAM Doctorate in Urbanism and Construction, respectively. The atelier develops a creative activity from a metropolitan, modern and abstract mind, nevertheless close to the idea of classical beauty. The main projects undertaken by the studio are shown in this website. There are projects awarded in national and international competitions as well as private commissions. All of them show a constant interest for the use of geometry as a base to develop more complex systems of pure lines and clear structure. Highlighted are the works in Northwest Madrid: La Moraleja, Puerta de Hierro, Aravaca and Pozuelo de Alarcón, as well as housing refurbishing in the city’s most luxurious areas. The work of Cobaleda & García Architects has been awarded on several occasions as well as published in journals such as Arqfutura, Via Arquitectura and Revista de Arquitectos. Exhibitions include the Royal Institute of British Architects in London, the Foundation of the College of Architects of Madrid and the Aedes am Pfefferberg Gallery in Berlin, among others.
