The designs of Bjørke Arkitektur aims to be robust, simple and with strong form concepts. The projects should be well adapted to context, landscape and climate. Effective area use and resource-friendly materials are inevitable.
The office was founded in 2011 by partners Runa Bjørke and Steffen Wellinger. Both have experience from larger and middle sized architectural firms in Norway and Germany. Steffen holds the position as Associate Professor at the Faculty of Architecture/NTNU since 2006.
Runa and Steffen are currently working on several projects where the transition between inside and outside and the use of semi-conditioned zones are central issues.
