In 1971 B&C starts its manufacturing activity in the furnishing sector in Arezzo, in Tuscany, great city of arts and cradle of the Italian antique trade. Right from the beginning its lines are characterized by a retro inspiration, linked to the new interpretation of great furnishing classics of all times, and by a particular artistic and craft care for the manufacturing.
In 1980, at a time of renewed interest for the bathroom, B&C was the first company to propose wooden bathroom furniture in antique style. It was immediately a great success: the idea of a more unique 'imperfect' touch with a more craft flavour, using natural materials like solid wood and marble to lend personality and warmth to the room, was appreciated straight away.
During the years, B&C's production increased the number of collections and typologies until it could furnish with style every room of the house, from bathroom furniture, chests of drawers and accessories, to the manufacture of kitchen elements, with a particular emphasis on stone built kitchens, and doors.
In 1996 B&C launched a new collection dedicated to the lovers of prestigious and unique pieces: the Linea Rinascimento, composed of furniture and doors rigorously finished off by hand, carved following the most antique restoration techniques, enriched with precious hand-made decorations.
One of B&C's biggest merits during its manufacturing life is to always have proposed collections that marked new trends and styles.
The actual winning trend is definitely the suggestion of combining modern minimal rooms, like lofts, or extremely simple rooms, with unplastered walls or visible bricks, with furniture that seems original antique, so high are its degree of finish and its care for the details.
