BHSF was founded in 2007 by Benedikt Boucsein, Axel Humpert, Hans-Lukas Fehr and Tim Seidel. Since then the office has realized three projects in Zurich and Duisburg, received several awards in architectural competitions and conducted several surveys within the field of urban planning as well as architecture.
The work of BHSF is not restricted to overall concepts of form or content. The highest possible quality of the product is the primary objective of every assignment independent of the content of these assignments. Within these processes theory serves us as a “weapon for the practical” (Paul Valéry).
Great importance is attached to an efficient and goal-oriented organisation of the company. Since the foundation constant collaborations with other young and also very experienced offices in Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland have been established.
In addition to the practical work BHSF is engaged in teaching at the ETH Zurich, organizes a series of public lectures in the office and appears as a publisher of an architectural magazin.
