BAK Arquitectos

BAKarquitectos is a study integrated by the architects: María Victoria Besonias, Guillermo de Almeida and Luciano Kruk. The three of them have experience as architecture's lectures, so each new work results an opportunity to make the entailment between theory and production as a way of overcoming work. In this way, since the engagement is presented, they begin a searching of solutions joined with reflections based in a few amount of basic principles: ·Use the common sense to each part of the work. ·Use simple forms and a few amounts of materials, not only as an aesthetic choice but as an ethical principle of a conscious use of the available materials. ·The physic condition of the architecture is a fundamental part of its essence, so it is present from the beginning. ·The production of the architecture can not relieve in the apparition of the image, as the physic presence is in charge of give the work sense and emotional character to the spaces. ·The aesthetic quality must be found in the essential part of the architecture and in a slow and meticulous separation from those that is not. ·See the reality as a fundamental issue that doesn't mean an impurity that obscure our production, but as the opportunity and the challenge where the architecture takes form. ·Do not believe in the specialization, instead of it, improve, as much as possible, new issues of investigation and realization. ·Believe that there are not less important issues in architecture. A simple house or a complex building requires the same enthusiasm to be outlined and demand similar energy to be executed. ·Confirm in each project that the work of an architect is resolve different problems, and the answer must integrate ethic, aesthetic, spatial and constructive issues.
