Arquitectos Ayala is an architecture practice founded by Gerardo Ayala Hernández and Mª Concepción Calvo Campos in 1970 who were joined as partners by Mateo and Marcos Ayala in 2000.
The work of Arquitectos Ayala has been centered on public projects and unique buildings, housing, restoration projects, urban planning etc. All these projects and works are the result of first process in both public and private, national and international competitions. This experience has led to the creation of a practice with a large number of employees and a great working capacity.
The practice has been working for over 40 years, from an understanding of the profession as a commitment to architecture, i.e. with space as the working material with its expressive, emotive and suggestive potential, as the motor of the social and technical solutions, trying to meet the clients’ needs through function, and not form.
