We create places that have value and meaning for users and visitors while simultaneously allowing them to experience the past. We believe in a design process involving both architectural design and preservation – a combined approach that enables us to understand and balance both the needs of our clients with their buildings and sites. Our design professionals offer a range of services including new design in historic settings, adaptive reuse, rehabilitation, seismic strengthening, sustainable design, restoration, programming and master planning, feasibility studies, and interior design. ARG staff encompasses architects, designers, historians, planners and material conservators who work collaboratively to explore architectural and historic design solutions, assess building material conditions, and document our project history.
