The aim of a+ is to develop the architecture of pleasure, sensation, transformation, and the interchange functions. Beyond the utilitarian surface, we wish to think in terms of a pleasant surface, which never appears in the competition programs but which creates the essence of a space. We conceive architecture from the point of view of our sensitivity, with no formal apriority, but always bearing in mind constructive reality. The goal of our work is not the object or the detail for its own sake but rather the experience that this endeavours to produce, abstraction allows through the way in which it conditions the place and helps to transform its uses. We understand architecture as a useful place, beyond all polemics, which seeks the essence and adaptation. We believe the program to be the minimum idea necessary to offer more (+) and bring a new gaze to the project. Architecture is experienced from the inside. The project starts here, in the heart of a building, then it unfolds outwards. At the same time we begin to reflect the composition of space, what envelops it, where it is introduced, its role within the whole. Each project is an experiment, an occasion to generate new spatial relationships, new relationships with nature and with others. Far from any theoretical discourse, our work does not stick to any particular school or precedent. It aims to reconcile architecture and lifestyle, construction and nature, tradition and evolution.
