AL_A is the award-winning architecture studio founded in 2009 by the RIBA Stirling Prize-winning architect Amanda Levete with directors Ho-Yin Ng, Alice Dietsch and Maximiliano Arrocet. AL_A’s designs are conceived not just as buildings, but as urban propositions, putting communities back at the heart of cultural landmarks. Recently completed projects include the MAAT Museum in Lisbon, the Exhibition Road Quarter at the Victoria and Albert Museum London, the Maggie’s centre in Southampton and Wadham College at the University of Oxford. Ongoing commissions include the Belgrade Philharmonic Concert Hall in Serbia, the redevelopment of Paisley Museum in Scotland and the design of the world’s first magnetised target fusion facility for General Fusion at Culham in the UK.
