Stephanie Bender and Philippe Béboux founded 2b architectes in 1998 in Lausanne, Switzerland. They graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in 1996 and 1997, where Stephanie later obtained her PhD degree. Since 2000, they taught as ordinary, guest and visiting professor at the EPFL, the Bern University of Applied Sciences and the University of Stuttgart D. They regularly participate to juries for competitions and Stephanie also sit in various academic or writing committees. They are both members of the Federation of Swiss Architects (FSA).
