Vogl Decken Systeme is a unique perforated, seamless, sound absorbing gypsum board system.

Uses
Vogl Decken Systeme is used as a finish system for walls and ceilings. The material is recommended for interior use only. Typically, the system is specified for school and universities, office interiors, lobbies, atriums, gymnasiums and other areas requiring acoustical performance without the look of ceiling grids. The finish is field painted to any desired color without the loss of sound absorbing qualities.

Applications
Vogl Decken Systeme is installed only by approved applicators. An applicator list is available through Pyrok, Inc. or your local representative.

Application Procedures Summary
The Vogl perforated gypsum boards are mechanically fastened to a rigid framing system. The framing system should include 20 gauge 7/8 inch framing channels on 400 millimeter centers and must be approved by the installer prior to installation of the gypsum boards. After boards are installed, the unique Vogl joint system is used to join the boards and spot the screw heads to create a level 4 drywall finish. Painting by painting contractors may be started 48 hours after completion of the Vogl joint system. Minimum temperatures should be maintained at 50 degrees Fahrenheit or higher.

Architectural Details
Critical Light - Vogl Decken Systeme offers a superior alternative to standard acoustical ceiling systems. It provides the look of monolithic drywall ceilings and walls, but with high acoustical performance. As with gypsum boards ceilings, strong tangential daylight and artificial light sources adjacent to a wall or ceiling are typical issues that should be discussed at the design stage.

Finish Surface - The Vogel Decken Systeme provides a smooth perforated monolithic surface. Perforation patterns may be round, square or slotted. Many perforation patterns are available.

Acoustical Performance
The Vogl Decken Systeme is mounted with an air gap to maximize the sound absorbing performance. Fiber glass batts may be used behind the system to further increase the sound absorbing values. The typical NRC values range from 0.55 to 0.85.

Cleaning and Repair
The Vogl Decken Systeme can be cleaned by vacuum brushing or wiping with wet cleaning products. It can be repeatedly painted without loss of its sounds absorbing qualities. Physical repairs are accomplished in a similar manner to monolithic gypsum board.

Warranty
Manufacturer shall warrant the material to be supplied, agreeing to repair/replace that which has cracked, flaked, dusted excessively, peeled or fallen from substrate, or otherwise deteriorated to a condition where it would not perform effectively as intended for a sound absorbent purpose; due to defective materials and not due to abuse, improper maintenance, unforeseeable ambient exposures, or other causes beyond anticipated conditions by the manufacturer. The warranty period will be 5 years from date of substantial completion.
